Beyond Climate Breakdown: Envisioning Stories of Radical Hope

Wednesday, November 16, 2022 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Join Peter Friederici, to discuss his newly released book, Beyond Climate Breakdown. Most climate breakdown stories in the media are tragic narratives that don’t allow space for adaptation and change. They rob audiences of hope and creative adaptation. It’s time to radically rethink stories of climate so that people everywhere, not just powerful monied interests, can reshape the future; it’s time for reimagination, at scales from the personal to the planetary. Peter Friederici is Professor in the School of Communication and Coordinator of the Sustainable Communities Program at Northern Arizona University, and author of several books and essays on nature and the environment.

This lecture is part of the Bright Side Climate Solutions Series hosted by Citizens' Climate Lobby and Bright Side Bookshop.
