Get Wild: Harnessing the Power of Nature

Wednesday, March 15, 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Join us for an important discussion with John Taylor from Terra BIRDS and others who will talk about nature-based solutions to climate change. John will discuss the climate implications of various approaches to urban landscaping and related maintenance. Learn about minimizing the use of municipal water while maximizing the potential for healthy soil and its climate and carbon impacts, the use of native grasses, the importance of green schoolyards, wildness in our public parks and open spaces and nature-access and education. A discussion about what it means to have a healthy forest, restoration practices and why we still need to plant trees will follow. Be inspired to act, plant and grow!
