Saving Water, Saving Energy: the Water-Energy Nexus and its Impacts on Climate Change

Wednesday, April 19, 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Water is Life. All aspects of energy consumption from extraction, production, and distribution require water. When you save energy, you also save water. The reverse is also true. It takes a tremendous amount of energy to bring drinking water to homes and to clean the water when it leaves. Heating water also requires a lot of energy, which consumers experience more directly. In this program, Emily Melhorn, Water Conservation Specialist, City of Flagstaff, will share the connections between water and energy and how conservation of both is needed to help mitigate the impacts of climate change.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is encouraged but not required. Please RSVP here.
